Donavon Elliott - Manager

Donavon, who joined STSC in April 2009, looks forward to this new challenge and career change. He brings 17 years of industrial experience with the Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan, plus almost 20 years of teaching experience to his role as STSC Manager.

A leader in skills development, Donavon has worked to promote trades and skills training to Canadian youth through both his writing and his involvement with many different boards. His work forming educational partnerships that allow students to receive trade time and employment while still attending high school has helped youth across Canada find their futures in trades and technologies.

Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Donavon holds both a Bachelors’ and a Masters’ degree in education. He also serves as Chair of Skills Saskatchewan and Vice-Chair of Skills Competence Canada.

Bill Fletcher - Career Coach

Bill brings 25 years of employment and training experience with the provincial government to his role at the Saskatoon Trades and Skills Centre. As a Career Coach, which Bill defines as a "jack of all trades", he has moved from supervising employment and training activities to delivering trades training programs that will help students get started in their careers.

For Bill, recruiting students and working with them first-hand are what makes his work as part of the STSC team “challenging, exciting and fun.”

Nadine Laroque - Office Administrator

Nadine brings more than a decade of experience in a wide variety of administrative, supervisory and management positions to her role as Office Administrator. She continually upgrades her computer skills to keep current with industry standards and hones her management capabilities through numerous leadership and supervisory courses offered by the University of Saskatchewan.

Nadine looks forward to the challenges ... and triumphs ... her position at the STSC is sure to bring.

Meranda Legare - Career Coach

Meranda’s position with the Saskatoon Trades and Skills Centre focuses on assisting Saskatoon and area students of Aboriginal ancestry move from secondary to post-secondary education. She also helps young people who want to enter the workforce consider all their career options before choosing an educational path.

Meranda recently graduated from the University of Saskatchewan. Her BA degree includes a major in Psychology and a minor in Religious Studies. She continues to pursue further education in her chosen fields.

Over the years Meranda has also been involved in a wide range of non-profit and volunteer organizations.

Jack Seel- Career Coach

Jack has spent 37 years in the teaching profession, including 34 years with the Saskatoon Public School Division. He has focused on Career Work Education and History throughout his career. 

In his role as a career coach, Jack works closely with industry and community agencies to support young people as they develop and pursue their career plans.  Student success is his highest priority.  

Jack values the opportunity to work with STSC students as they develop and implement their career plans.  He finds that being part of the innovative STSC program, which meshes industry, community, training providers and young people, is very exciting and fulfilling work.

Ali Ali - Career Coach

Ali joins STSC with over 7 years of experience working in multicultural environments as an HR professional. Having moved to Saskatoon in 2008 from Dubai, he is aware of the challenges and barriers that come with relocating to a new country. His personal and professional experience has helped him to identify those challenges and to develop innovative and efficient ways to overcome them.

Ali graduated from the American university of Beirut with a Bachelors in Business Administration.
